A factory demolition in Germiston generated a large volume of broken concrete and mixed rubble. Carting all of it away and importing fill would have consumed a significant part of the project budget.
We supplied a 22 ton excavator with a pulveriser and sorting grapple, plus a screening bucket to separate usable fines from oversize on site.
Roughly two thirds of the demolition material was reused as fill on the same site. Cart-away trips dropped sharply and the imported fill order was cancelled entirely.
